Are you usually more positive or negative?

Have you ever thought about this? I have. And usually I come to the conclusion that I am slightly more negative than I am positive. Certainly we all have our good days and our bad days, but imagine what life would be like if at least three quarters of your thoughts and feelings were positive instead of negative?
Chances are it would invoke a lot more positive experiences and changes in your life, finances and relationships.
Why do I know this to be true? I know it is true because a couple years ago I read a superb classic book by Napolean Hill called Think and Grow Rich. Napolean Hill devoted his life to helping others achieve independence and personal growth. His book and the principles within it have been rehashed and copied many times over since it was first published. I personally think that book The Secret which created a firestorm last year was based heavily on the principles that Napolean Hill first came up with.
I know it to be true because in his book, Napolean Hill very clearly states that in order to get what you want in life, you must first imagine that you already have it, and then everything else will work itself out. He goes into detail about the power of your own individual thoughts and how they are sources of energy with a lot of power many of us may take for granted. He states that we can consciously control our thoughts and therefore we can change our lives to get whatever it is we want because of this power to control our thoughts.
If you think about it, from the beginning of time, from the first origins of the universe everything that came from that, this awesome creation had to be inherently positive and concretely good. It had to be, it had to have that energy, to work in perfect harmony and evolve over billions of years up to the point we are now. All that complexity and positive life force is what Dr. Wayne Dyer refers to as ’source energy’.
So everything that you are made up of is the same thing that the whole universe is made up of since the beginning of time. So all of you is inherently good as well.
But then why do people turn to negativity. Well there are plenty of reasons. Past experiences, stressful environments, money stress, relationship stress, there are millions of them. But no matter what the reason, by thinking negative remember that you are making a choice to do so, and every thought you have is an opportunity to either have a positive thought or a negative one. I remember Wayne Dyer saying that when you think negative you are ‘disconnecting from source’. And I agree. If I think negative then I am disconnecting from the inherent positive energy that comprises all of the universe and every cell within it. So if you want to tap into the natural positive force that makes up our ever expanding universe, try to make conscious choices in positive thinking, no matter how bad things may seem at first.
Katerina from Katspells.com has a tip on how to be more positive:
We are all born with good thoughts, but many of us become negative with age. When you think positive, you create additional positive energy for your spell, and it helps to attract good things to you. But how can you be positive when your finances are in a shambles, or the love of your life has left you? It’s certainly not easy, but it can be done with a small amount of practice.
Each night before bedtime, try to devote 10 minutes of quiet time to yourself with no distractions. During this time, relax and close your eyes, and start visualizing yourself sitting on the shore of a peaceful lake or pond, surrounded by beautiful fields of flowers and rolling hills. Gaze around and you see nature in its exquisite glory. You reach down to the water and splash a few handfuls on your head and face, and let the water drip off you. As the water drips away, it has cleansed away all bad thoughts and replaced them with good. End each 10 minute session by affirming to yourself a statement like, "I am not going to remain in a rut any longer - I deserve to start enjoying life and I will obtain my share of happiness that awaits me." Then get up and look to the majestic clouds and say, "I am ready." Repeat this exercise for 10 minutes each night, and do so for 10 nights in a row. While this exercise may sound silly, after 10 nights you will have changed the conditioning of your thought process to start thinking of good things once again.
I think she writes a great tip! And certainly a nice easy way to start on the path to more positive thinking and energy in your life
