Spirituality and Psychics go mainstream

There is an interesting article in the Australian Herald Sun that talks about how spirituality is coming more into the mainstream.

The article quotes Lizzy Rose, the famous Australian celebrity psychic as saying that we are now in the ‘awareness age’ where people are much more questioning and explorative now. And also that men are now just as likely as women to consult with psychics and want to know how they can make the most of their lives instead of just what is around the corner for them.

Rose also says that these shifts in perception are maybe an early sign that we are now returning to a new age, an age similar to centuries ago when psychics, astrologers and mystics were powerful and respected and the kings and queens of that time would consult with them for future decision making.

She then goes on to give a few tips on increasing your own intuition. Most psychics she says, "experience their intuition through flashes, messages, and dreams." So she suggests to keep a diary of sorts to jot down memorable dreams, experiences or happenings in your life which may seem insignificant at one moment in time, but later on prove to paint some real meaningful pictures when looked at from a whole perspective.

The article concludes with the top 10 ways to increase your intuition. Here are a few of them:

1. Meditate to help quiet your mind and increase your natural vibration
2. Listen to your body. Tightening or pulling away is an indicator of things not being right while expansion and relaxation is positive.
3. Ask a question about something before going to sleep and notice the first thought in your head after you wake up.
4. Pay attention to your dreams. Ask questions to get the meaning and let the answers come on their own time.

Interesting tips I would say. And I do agree with the take that psychics and spirituality are going more mainstream. I mean think about it, hundreds and thousands of years ago the ancients did not have television, cars and all sorts of other distractions from the sky. They really focused on what the stars and their intuition was telling them. But now we are so saturated with technology and and the 24/7 lifestyle that maybe all of us have come to a point of deep yearning for the old tradition.
